From foundation to finishing

The process

Step One: Site Measure

About 1–2 weeks on site. We visit your home to take exact measurements and assess the site, access and existing structure, so the design starts from real numbers.

Step Two: Engineering & Drawings

About 4–6 weeks. Your sunroom is engineered and drawn to your measurements. You review the detailed design and drawings before anything is made.

Step Three: Permits & Approval

About 4–12 weeks. We prepare and coordinate the municipal permit application and approvals. Timing depends on your municipality, which is why this step has the widest range.

Step Four: Manufacturing & Delivery

About 6–8 weeks. Your sunroom is built in our warehouse to your exact measurements, under controlled conditions. No cutting in your yard, no sawdust, no mess. Then it is delivered to your home ready to assemble.

Step Five: Build & Installation

About 6–12 weeks. We schedule all inspections before a nail goes in, with one accountable point of contact, daily site cleanup and photo updates.

Building equity

It’s more than a sunroom. It’s an investment.

A Serene Living Space sunroom is built to code as a true addition and adds real floor space. It expands your home’s footprint and livable square footage, and raises your home’s value on completion.

Permit and final approvals are project-specific; we handle the permit.

Good to know

Questions before you begin?

All questions

Can I use my sunroom through an Ontario winter?

Our four-season Living Space systems are designed for year-round use. We plan the glazing, insulation and heating or cooling for your room. Aéré is our three-season option.

Do you handle the municipal building permit?

Yes. We handle the municipal building permit as part of our design-and-installation process. Requirements and approval timing depend on your property and municipality.

How long does the whole project take?

Actual installation on site typically takes about 1–2 weeks for an average sunroom. Design, approvals, manufacturing, foundations and other trades happen before and around that, so the full project runs longer. We set out your complete schedule in the quote.
