Good to know
It is a room planned for year-round use, with the glazing, insulated structure, roof, foundation and heating/cooling considered together. We specify our Living Space system for your home and intended use.
A conservatory is a highly glazed room, typically with a glass roof. We design the proportions and glazing around your home, with Ultraframe roof options confirmed in the project specification.
A sunroom is a glass-walled room attached to your home, available in 3-season or 4-season versions. A solarium typically features a glass roof as well as glass walls for maximum light. A conservatory is an elegant, architecturally styled glass structure with a distinctive roofline. We design and build all three.
Choose A-frame, Studio, Integrated or Specialty. We compare roof shape and the space at your home, then confirm the Ontario project design and intended seasonal use.
Yes. Aéré is our three-season sunroom line. We help you choose the configuration around seasonal use; an optional glass upgrade does not automatically make it an approved four-season living-space addition.
No. We offer Aéré as our three-season line. If you want a conditioned room for year-round use, discuss our four-season Living Space system with us.
Yes. We design glass-roof options, including conservatories using Ultraframe roofing. We confirm the exact glazing, structure, ventilation and applicable warranty for your proposed room.
No. A cover is a roofed outdoor space; a sunroom is an enclosed room with a defined seasonal or year-round scope.
A patio cover is a roof structure that shades and protects your patio from sun, rain, and snow while leaving the sides open. A patio enclosure adds walls, screens, or glass to turn that space into a comfortable, bug-free room you can furnish and use like an extension of your home.
Start with the activities and furniture you want the room to accommodate. We measure your site and review access, connections and planning constraints before recommending dimensions.
Yes. We plan the dimensions around your home and intended use. Available spans, heights and structural details depend on the selected system and project design; we confirm them before production.
We plan the proportions, connection and finishes around the existing house and your preferences. Your design and quote define what is included.
We review the existing roof line, attachment and drainage when developing your design. Compatible roof and finishing options can help the new room relate to the house; the final drawings confirm the connection.
We can discuss skylights where compatible with the selected roof system. We confirm the product, position, structural detail and glazing before the roof is manufactured.
We can plan a ceiling fan with appropriate support, clearances and electrical work. Tell us early so the mounting location is included in the room design.
Yes, gutters and drainage can be included where appropriate for the design. We plan how water leaves the roof and connects with the site drainage.
Tell us at the design stage. We review the appliance requirements, structure, clearances, ventilation and services with the appropriate professionals before confirming whether it can be included.
We can discuss a pet door in a compatible solid panel as part of the design. It cannot simply be cut into a glazed knee wall; the selected panel and product warranty need to be considered.
Yes. We discuss retractable screens for eligible porch and patio enclosure projects. Your quote confirms the selected system, operation and applicable warranty.
No universal availability is promised. We confirm the current product options, samples and compatible combinations in your written quote.
The manufacturer describes an option to upgrade to glass. We confirm compatibility and the required scope for your particular Aéré room; upgrading glazing alone does not establish four-season performance.
Plan the room around how you want to live in it. We consider furniture layout, clearances, loading and exposure during design. Choose materials suited to the light and the room’s seasonal conditions.
Ask us before repainting. Factory finishes use product-specific processes, and field painting may affect appearance or warranty coverage. We help you check the written care and warranty requirements first.
Yes, a sunroom can provide a bright place for plants. Match each plant to the actual light, temperature and humidity in the room, and plan watering and surface protection.
A pool enclosure needs a separate assessment of humidity, ventilation, structure and maintenance. Tell us what you have in mind so we can confirm whether we offer an appropriate system and scope for your property.
The supplier describes vinyl and fibreglass components, a patented Main Key connection and a structural aluminium header tube. We confirm the components used in your selected system; we do not claim it contains no aluminium.
Aluminium conducts heat readily. The supplier’s vinyl-and-fibreglass approach is intended to reduce heat transfer through the framing. Actual comfort and energy use depend on the entire room, glazing, detailing and conditioning.
The Living Space brochure describes a precision-cut system with concealed fasteners and an enclosed electrical raceway. We assemble the selected components on site. Factory preparation reduces the fabrication that must happen at your property.
Our sunroom installation is assembly of precision factory-manufactured, pre-cut components. That is different from fabricating the sunroom from general raw stock at your property. Normal assembly tools and other project-specific work are still required.
We specify glazing for the room’s exposure and intended use. Insulated glazing uses separated panes as part of the thermal design. The supplied glass-performance table lists options; the quote confirms which glass is included.
We review conditioning alongside the room size, exposure and insulation. We confirm a suitable approach and whether work to your home’s existing equipment or a separate unit is included.
Our four-season Living Space rooms are planned for year-round use with the appropriate envelope and heating/cooling. Aéré is our three-season option, with a different seasonal scope.
A 4-season sunroom is insulated and can be heated and cooled like any room in your home, so you can enjoy it comfortably through GTA winters. A 3-season sunroom is built for spring, summer, and fall and is not insulated for deep winter use. Our signature 3-season-plus acrylic option offers near-4-season comfort at a smarter price.
We plan the glazing, solar exposure, ventilation, shading and conditioning together. A glass roof can be part of a comfortable summer room, but the selected glass alone is not a guarantee of indoor temperature.
A glazed roof can help daylight reach spaces beside the addition. The result depends on orientation, geometry, glazing and surrounding obstructions. Your design review is the place to compare glass and solid roof options.
Glazing can reduce UV exposure, but it does not guarantee that furnishings will never fade. We discuss the selected glass and suitable fabrics or shading for the room. The supplied table lists UV protection by glazing option.
We design for natural light, a connection to the garden and room for everyday routines such as reading, stretching or gathering. These are lifestyle benefits; we make no vitamin D claim or promise to treat a health condition.
A comfortable seat, a view of the garden and a thoughtfully enclosed space can change the pace of your day. We discuss the sounds around your property as well as the light. Sound reduction varies with the glazing, roof, openings and surrounding conditions.
No glazed room can be promised silent. We discuss glazing, roof choices and how you plan to use the room. A verified acoustic rating for your selected assembly is needed before any quantified sound-reduction claim.
Our Living Space system includes fastening and drainage details intended to direct moisture out. We focus on the correct assembly and maintenance, and help investigate concerns. We do not promise that a room can never leak; coverage follows the written warranty.
Moisture can depend on indoor humidity, ventilation, temperatures and the installed assembly. We discuss how to operate and maintain the room and investigate concerns. No frost-free guarantee is given for every condition.
We coordinate the site-specific structural design, roof, glazing, foundations and house connection for the required municipal review. We confirm applicable loads and connection details for the actual Ontario property.
We coordinate the project-specific structural design and municipal review. We do not copy a UK roof specification or a general manufacturer rating into an Ontario approval claim. Snow loads, support and connection details must suit the project.
We discuss how you want to use the room, the seasons that matter, your home, design preferences and budget. We explain the options and what is needed for the site measure, 3D rendering and written quote.
Yes. We prepare a custom 3D rendering as part of our design process so you can review the proposed room before finalizing the project.
Suitable prepared projects have a 3–4 day on-site sunroom assembly stage. Design, municipal approvals, manufacturing, foundations and other trades are additional. We explain your complete schedule in the quote; four days is not the total project duration.
No. Our 3–4 day installation claim refers to on-site sunroom assembly for suitable projects after preparation. Design, approvals, manufacturing, foundations and other trades take additional time. We set out your project schedule in the quote.
No. That claim applies to suitable prepared sunroom system assembly. A conventional addition has a separate construction scope and schedule.
We outline design, drawings, approvals, preparation, installation and finishes in your project quote. The 3–4 day sunroom assembly claim does not apply to general home additions.
We handle the municipal building permit as part of the project process. The property, municipality and agreed design determine what information and approvals are required.
Yes. Under the Ontario Building Code, virtually every sunroom addition requires a building permit, because it attaches to your home and changes the building envelope. This applies to both 3-season and 4-season sunrooms, whether they sit on a foundation, on posts, or on an existing deck. The good news: as a full-service design-build company, we handle the drawings, site plan, and permit process for you.
Often, yes. A patio cover or enclosure that is attached to your home, has a solid roof, or exceeds size thresholds usually requires a permit, and an enclosure with walls and windows almost always does. Requirements vary by municipality, so we confirm what your project needs and take care of the permitting.
We identify the municipality and required project information before the design is finalized. A regional page or a product label is not an approval. We coordinate the municipal building permit and explain the steps that affect your schedule.

Seniors take $500 off a new sunroom or enclosure on approved projects; this cannot be combined with other offers. Fall Savings: $3,500 off your new sunroom, for a limited time this fall; this cannot be combined with other promotions.
No. The seniors offer is for ages 65 and over on approved projects and cannot be combined with other offers. The fall savings offer cannot be combined with other promotions.
Offer ends December 21, 2026. New sunroom projects only. Cannot be combined with other promotions.
A home improvement may affect assessment or property taxes. We do not estimate the amount or promise a cap. Ask MPAC and your municipality about the implications for your property.
A Serene Living Space sunroom is built to code as a true addition and adds real floor space. It expands your home’s footprint and livable square footage, and raises your home’s value on completion. Permit and final approvals are project-specific; we handle the permit. Homes with sunrooms sell better and give realtors a standout feature. We do not state an ROI percentage or promise a particular selling price or date.

Both can add room for the way you live. A sunroom places daylight and views at the centre of the design, while a glass roof can help light reach the adjoining room. We compare the complete scope, preparation, services and finishes before you decide.
No. Our Building Equity statement concerns a Serene Living Space sunroom designed and approved for that use. Aéré three-season rooms, patio covers and seasonal screen enclosures have different scopes.
Discuss that intention at the beginning. Future enclosure may require a different foundation or structural design. We do not promise that any cover can later become a four-season room without further work.
Possibly. We assess the existing condition and whether it can support the proposed work. Any changes are identified in your project scope.
That choice changes the project. A screen enclosure, a three-season room and a conditioned four-season addition are different scopes. We explain those differences before you choose a product.
No. They are an available option to discuss for eligible porch and patio projects. Your quote confirms the system, openings, controls, installation and warranty.
Not automatically. Year-round use can require different foundations, envelope details, heating/cooling and approvals. We assess your existing space before confirming what is possible.
We review the threshold, access and changes in level during the site assessment, so the connection belongs in the design from the beginning.
Eligible Living Space components have a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to registration, exclusions and written terms. The manufacturer warranty excludes labour. We help with warranty support and explain any separate installation coverage in your quote.
No. Coverage depends on the components and written terms. We explain the applicable product warranties and any separate installation coverage; do not assume one manufacturer warranty covers every supplier component.
